Rust or not

If a sword is rusty, it will need to be sharpened. To sharpen a sword, you must ask a professional sharpener. It costs from 7,000 yen per inch (about 3 cm). In other words, a long sword of 23 inches will cost more than 150,000 yen. If you let your sword rust, it will affect the evaluation, so please take care of it if you have one. If you cannot take care of your sword, bring it in before it rusts. It will definitely be evaluated higher. As mentioned in the notes, do not sharpen it yourself even if it is rusty. Swords are not sharpened like kitchen knives. Improper sharpening will ruin the sword and result in a negative evaluation. Please bring it in as it is, even if it is rusty.

Swords are made by folding iron and wrapping leather around a core metal. However, swords that are as close to the original as possible when completed and have few congenital flaws are more highly rated.
